We're with You Except Maybe on the Spandex

From: Robert Ballot <nomead@earthlink.net>
Very funny stuff. But, you know what, in spite of all
the gibes, 10cc,
Kansas, Yes and Styx were all actually quite good at what they did:
music. And I'd love to see Pat Benatar in spandex again sometime
soon.

We Knew Someone Would Eventually Notice All That Content

From: Jeffrey Erlich <jeff@cs.mcgill.ca>
Dear EZone:
Thank you for putting content on the net. I've been looking
for
something interesting to read on the net for 3 or 4 years now, and
Enterzone is the first thing interesting enough to keep me up 3 hours
past my bedtime. :)
I really liked 8
minutes. Although I haven't yet discovered the mobius
strip symbolism?? Maybe Martha is just an Escher
fan?!?
Keep it up.

Pretty amazing to be one of the rare web sites to make
the New

Gotta Remember That One (Broke My Elbow)

Subject: questions
i came across the zone, and am VERY interested in learning
more about it. I broke my elbow, so i can't write much now -
BUT, i'm interested in knowing more about the people who
work and create for the zone - the authors if you will. are you/they a
berkeley students? What programs/areas of study? how did they get involved?
if you could gather up some responses...i'd REALLY appreciate it.
i'm an artist trapped in a world that i chose to join,
but no longer
understand. i want to find out more about other worlds. do you think
someone can share some insight?
thanks.

OK, let's see: briefly. One of us, the webmaster, was
around that time a graduate student in the Archaeology department. Another
one of us, the managing editor, went to U.C. Berkeley at two different
times in her life, but we were never affiliated with Berkeley, our original
server there was semi-official, and we are now hosted by AALN
and have our own domain name (ezone.org). Our contributors come from all
over the U.S. and from abroad. Mostly they approached us originally, although
the contributors to the first few episodes were mainly people I personally
asked to contribute. Hope this helps.

xian,
the new ezone is spectacular, very beautifully designed
and rich with
writing. What a pleasure!

Definitely. I've had people describe Enterzone (or the
entire Web) as a huge hyper-novel. There's something to that.

Who woulda thought? So much creativity and intelligence
graces the net!
(And so much of that from the hands of deadheads :-) )
Keep up the good work. Enterzone is a nice find, indeed.
