View from the Beanfield
Unexcavated parts of Pompeii are covered with as much as 15 meters of ash compressed and aged into soil. Fertile soil. Much of this
land, despite being in the midst of an archaeological preserve, is used for agriculture. From these fields of beans and
tomatoes one can look down upon the city's ruins.
Imagine what lost homes still stood beneath our feet.
Turn to your right to have a look at Mt. Vesuvius.
